Megan Grotenhuis

Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Megan is a Registered Massage Therapist with a lifelong passion for movement, wellness, and helping others feel their best. She graduated with distinction from the Massage Therapy Diploma program at Eastern College and is excited to bring her knowledge, compassion, and love of working with people to the Maple Shores team.

Megan’s interest in massage therapy grew from her own active lifestyle and a desire to better understand the body and how we can support it through different stages of life. Over the years, she has enjoyed a variety of outdoor pursuits, including climbing, mountaineering, hiking, and paddling. These experiences have given her a personal appreciation for the demands that an active lifestyle can place on the body, as well as the importance of movement, recovery, and taking care of yourself along the way.

During her training, Megan gained extensive hands-on experience working with a wide range of clients and concerns. She enjoys getting to know each person, listening towhat they need, and creating a comfortable and personalized treatment experience. She believes massage therapy is about more than simply addressing aches and pains. It can be an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body, and make your well-being a priority.

Megan’s approach to massage therapy combines traditional Swedish massage techniques with fascial and myofascial techniques, allowing her to tailor each treatment to the individual. She enjoys blending relaxation-focused work with more targeted techniques to address areas of tension, restriction, and discomfort. Her goal is to create treatments that feel both therapeutic and restorative, while supporting each client’s unique needs, lifestyle, and goals.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll most likely find Megan outside with her family. She loves introducing her children to the adventures that have always been such an important part of her life—from hiking and paddling to camping and exploring new places together. For Megan, some of the best moments are the simple ones: getting outside, trying something new, and sharing an adventure with the people she loves. Andof course, nothing beats a day at the beach.
